Insect Repellents and Insecticides
At Anovotek, we have experience in both insect repellents and insecticides. Each works differently to control pests. Insecticides are strategically formulated to harm, kill, mitigate, or repel one or several species of insects. They work in different ways: either disrupting the nervous system or damaging their exoskeletons, or controlling/repelling them through other means. Insect repellents are formulated to repel ticks, mosquitoes, biting insects, flies, spiders, etc. They target insects that may carry and transmit viruses and diseases like Zika, West Nile virus, and malaria. They also target ticks that can transmit Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever, Lyme, and other types of diseases. They are not meant to kill; instead, they are a preventative tool to help reduce insect contact and bites.
Involved in the Public Health Community
Anovotek is involved in the public health community and has formulated products that are effective in reducing the transmission of insect-borne diseases. This includes products such as apparel, mosquito bed nets, insect bait products, and other innovative approaches to reducing the spread of diseases. Using our chemistry, polymer, and textile manufacturing expertise, our mission is to help improve lives, which is at the core of Anovotek’s values. Our goal is to develop products, integrate novel compounds and ideas into materials and final products, navigate testing and registration, evaluate materials and products, scale up manufacturing, or establish and manage supply chains.
